This is a cross platform game, and thus we have some issues over which there is little control.
Most of the graphics were designed on a Mac. Mac's have a superb Gamma (brightness) setting on their monitors.
PC's tend to have low Gamma setting. This means that unless the graphics were designed expressly for use on a PC, the chances are they will appear dark to PC users.
Most video cards let you set your Gamma, and most monitors have a brightness setting (we recommend using your video card). On windows this is often done through the “Advanced” button under the “settings” tab of “Display Properties”, available in your control panels, though it’s different for different video cards.
We recommend boosting the default Gamma from 10-30%. You’ll not only find images on the web crisper and clearer (especially dark images with light writing), but your eyes will not get as tired as quickly when working on a PC. You will notice details in our graphics you haven’t seen before, and your experience (from Andromeda Online to all PC related games and work) will be far more enjoyable.
